Consent to Care
You hereby consent and authorize the treating providers you engage through the use of the Drs. On Calls (“Site”), to provide routine medical care and treatment, such as physical exams, diagnostic procedures, treatment of illnesses and injuries, and/or make necessary referrals. You acknowledge that other types of healthcare professionals such as nurses may take part in the provision of care under the supervision of physicians.
You certify that a physician or health care professional has explained the nature, benefits, and risks of any procedure or treatment provided by any treating provider you engage through the site. You have been given the opportunity to ask questions about any concerns regarding the procedure, consultation, or treatment provided by any treating provider you engage through the Site.
To the extent the patient is under the age of 18, you represent you are the patient’s parent or legal guardian and are duly authorized under state law to act on behalf of the minor. All references to “you” shall be deemed to include the minor patient where such reference applies to the individual receiving care or treatment.
Consent to Telemedical Care
Introduction: Telemedicine involves the use of audio, video, or other electronic communications to interact with you, consult with your healthcare provider, and/or review your medical information for the purpose of diagnosis, therapy, follow-up, and/or education. During your telemedicine consultation, details of your medical history and personal health information may be discussed with you or other health professionals through interactive video, audio, or other telecommunications technology.
Electronic systems used incorporate network and software security protocols to protect the privacy and security of health information and imaging data, with measures to safeguard data integrity.
Anticipated Benefits
- Improved access to medical care from your location while the physician provides care from a distant site.
- More efficient medical evaluation and management.
- Obtaining expertise from a distant specialist.
Possible Risks
- Potential insufficiencies in forwarded information, such as image clarity.
- Delays due to electronic tool abnormalities or limitations in access to your medical records.
- Security protocol failures, potentially leading to privacy breaches.
- In rare cases, a lack of access to all medical records may result in errors.
Acceptance of Terms and Conditions
You acknowledge and accept that:
- You may anticipate benefits from telemedicine, but results cannot be guaranteed.
- Healthcare privacy laws apply, ensuring your information remains protected unless authorized otherwise.
- You may withhold or withdraw consent to telemedicine at any time.
- You have the right to inspect all information obtained during telemedicine interactions, with copies available for a reasonable fee.
- Alternative medical care options are available to you.
- Your medical information may be transmitted to out-of-state practitioners if necessary.
- You are responsible for notifying your physician of any electronic care interactions you have with other providers.
- If insurance does not cover costs, you are responsible for payment.
- In psychiatric treatment, treatment duration, cost, and information will be provided, and you can consult with other specialists as needed.
Your Use of the Services
You agree to use the services responsibly, complying with all laws and ensuring the accuracy of your information. Unauthorized use may result in termination of access.
- You will only use the Services for personal use and will not resell them.
- You will not copy, distribute, or transmit content that infringes upon others' rights.
- Use of Services in violation of local, state, federal, or international laws is prohibited.
- Unauthorized access, impersonation, or inappropriate content may lead to service termination.
Our Right to Use User-Provided Content
We reserve the right to utilize any content or materials you provide, with a royalty-free, perpetual, and non-exclusive license, for any purpose. Drs. On Calls is a passive conduit and is not liable for user-generated content.
Payment
Registering and downloading the Site are free, but you incur charges when scheduling a consultation. Fees are set by health professionals and include an administrative portion retained by us. Insurance coverage may vary, and you may be responsible for additional costs.
